#PrincessSYY go Melbourne @ Day 1

September 7

First ever family trip (3 generations), and first long haul flight for #princesssyy to Melbourne.

Many people asked me, why Melbourne? 💭

I had a short trip to Melbourne once in year 2014, well, I missed this place, I guessed.
Also, because wanted to bring my parents to see country of "white man" (Orang putih), experience a total different culture, vibrant, fun and easy to explore city. Melbourne has what it takes. 💖

We managed to grab the promo fare which is about RM700+ (adult) RM500+ (child) per person exclude baggage and food. Total RM4.2K for 5 adults and 1 child. Quite a bargain compare to other airlines at that time.

We hired private airport transfer at RM340 two way to KLIA2, hassle free. To avoid from the traffic, we depart about 5.30pm from home and reaching airport around 6.30pm. Wandering around the airport before we able to check in our baggage at 7.30pm.

Princess SYY very excited to see so many airplanes around.

However, i dragged her inside fast fast because here is actually a smoking area, not so suitable for kids to stay long time. 😅

Once checked in baggage, we have meal at Old Town White Coffee, before my parents start their fish and chips journey. 😅

Princess SYY gained new experience --travelator! She made noises whenever being pushed on the walk way instead of the travelator, haha!

Anyone want to buy this "Duty Free baby"?

During boarding time, traveler with baby was given priority, hence both of us made the move first. Daddy will be sitting at different row due to the auto selection by airlines.

With baby, travel like VIP 😆 We reach the plane entrance before others.

Since we are taking night flight, so, mommy's idea was let her skip her afternoon nap, then made her ran here and there during the waiting time. Hoping she will doze off once the plane take off.

Well, the plan success partially. 😅

She very curious inside the plane, pressing the chair button, flipping the magazines.

As the plane waiting to take off, the light was dimmed. she started to scare and wanted to sit on mommy's lap. No matter how mommy console her she refuse to sit on her own seat. Without a choice, mommy had to release the buckle and buckle up with her during the take off.

While taking off, she calmed down listening to mommy's heart beat, I guessed. She dozed off. So I placed her on the seat for more comfortable sleep.

Mommy also rest after she slept. Mana tau... ...

She woke up at 5am (Australia time, which means it was just 3am in Malaysia)! She started to look for her daddy. Sweat. Luckily we seated at the last few rows, easy to move around to the next walk way for her daddy.

She was not sleeping after this even after having her milk. She just walked here and there, from this end to another end, this little troublemaker 😓

Soon, breakfast was served. She not interested in the meal, she just wanted to walk walk walk...... in the plane. Haha......

Only the beautiful sun rise attracted her to sit for some times.

For the landing, the environment was quite bright so she was not scared and able to sit at her own seat. And, thankfully we touch down safely at Tullamarine airport sharp on time.

We declared that we brought foods and dairies for baby needs, so hassle free when pass through the immigration.

Smile! We are in Melbourne. September 8, 9.30am.

Mother's Day

After being hiatus for few years, I decided that is time for me to reopen my blog post. I may be not good in English, but practice makes perfect right? 😊

Tomorrow is Mother's day.

Saw my FB post flooded with the lovely kids presented their lovely mommies the hand crafted card / flower. I'm touched. And I started to wonder if I will receive any card or flower?

Well, #princessSYY is 21 months now, so she don't know how to craft a flower for me yet. Still need to wait looo...... but definitely her happiness and healthy will always be the best gift to me as a mother

Wishing all the mother, include my mother and MIL a very blissful mother's day!

A short start, hoping for a long run of my blog post. 😊

Mix FM Cuffed Couples Smoothen by Rosken

It was during end of January 2011, when I first heard the promo about:

Mix FM Cuffed Couples smoothen by Rosken

Soon after that, I checked out their webpage for all the details. After small discussion with Ashton, we decided to take part in it as I always wanted to take part in some event that similar to Amazing Race! Besides, all the 5 couples that short-listed will guarantee for a consolation prize money of RM 500 and the Rosken hamper worth RM 150. A scanned marriage certificate with a simple slogan is all we need to submit in! Praying hard to receive the call from organizer!

I received a call from the person in charge, Ms. Hui Yee on 1/2/2012. No no, we was not short-listed yet. She just informed me that the Cuffed Couples challenge will be held for 3 days (From 10/2/12 - 12/2/12) and we will be required to attend the press conference on 9/2/12 after lunch as well. We need to confirm if we can make it to the event before they choose the finalist.

Thus, have a discussion again with Ashton... ...And we decided to apply for annual leave regardless if we short-listed or not! Just being prepared if they really short-listed us last minute. And YES, WE ARE IN

Feeling so excited and lucky as we already bagged RM 500 in hand! After read through the email from Hui Yee, we got even excited! There will be mini cash challenge as well. Well, I aimed for that so that we can have a little extra expenses for the coming Langkawi and Phuket trip with our families. On top of that, we will be given a free room at The Westin, Kuala Lumpur

OMG!!! The Westin KL is best known for her hospitality and is rated 5 stars+! Free rooms, free foods, free games, free pocket money, free lotion... ..Can I found this elsewhere besides joining the Mix FM Cuffed Couples Smoothen by Rosken? I felt we are blessed so well this Valentines. ^_^

Thursday, 09/02/2012

We reached Astro around 12.45pm and waiting for the PIC at the lobby. After about 10-15 minutes, Hui Yee, Hafiz and Syahril approached us. After we got the Cuffed Couples t-shirt, Hafiz brought us to the Astro cafetaria for lunch while Hui Yee and Syahril need to rush for the press conference set up.
Oh I must remember to mention this: Astro cafetaria sold very nice and cheap foods!

The venue of Press Conference
Mix FM and MY FM are the official radio for the Rosken Cuffed Couples challenge. Thus, the PC was combined together.
And yes, we were in the daily paper!
Aunty saw my palm face on China Press daily and Sin Chew daily both!

Met another two couples : Nasheeta & Hariz, Grace & Chiam.
Nasheeta & Hariz came all the way from JB yo!

We saw JD + Dilly + Jason (MY FM) cuffed together for the intro!

Aaron, the programme manager gave some welcome speech to the guests and press. We just realized that Mix FM organized cuffed couples 10 years ago too, and has been known as one of the most successful event as well. Impressive!

Beside the speeches, the game part is the most exciting one! Representative of press to play games with the radio announcers! Dilly won for her team in "Rosken Cream Stacker" while Steve won for his team in "Charade". It was so fun! The best part was, organizer hinted that these games might be one of the challenge. Aww...the cream stacked was so tough!

Have a pre-interviewed session with JD & Dilly at the Mix Studio!
Bieber fans, yes, that's the autographed photo by him. Scream now! ^_^
Besides the cuffed couples, I wish I can be the Masterchef too!!!

Meet the contestant interview session:

Friday, 10/2/2012

Reaching The Westin KL around 10.20am as we are really excited for this "Amazing Holiday aka Challenge"! Met all the other couples in the lobby before proceed to briefing session.

5 couples are here! From the top left: Chiam & Grace, Jamie & Adrian, Hariz. From the top right: Ashton, Ivan & Mei Si, Nasheeta.

Lunch break! Beef burger, Chicken burger, and a specialised Chickpea burger for me (because I'm on half day vegetarian every Friday) from hotel management. Thank you so much The Westin KL for being so nice and considerate to me! ^_^

Check in to our room after lunch.
I love the room so much! King sized bed gave so homey feel with the facilities and amenities.

Challenge started around 2pm. We are officially CUFFED couples!
Thanks to the Rosken skin repair lotion, our cuffed hand felt comfortable still.

We were brought to Mid Valley Megamall for first three challenge: Bowling, Laser Tag and Making Sister Crispy popiah!

Bowling: really hard to bowl with the hand being cuffed. Both party synchronisation is very important in this challenge.

Laser Tag: The best game which all of us really enjoyed very much. We screamed and laughed, the games was not loaded with laser but HAPPINESS and EXCITEMENT!

Making Sister Crispy Popiah: The moral of the story, Ashton need to help me more in the kitchen. He he... ...
Conclusion: Laser tag was so so so so so so FUN! We must go back in group and play again!

Thank you Castelle, the gorgeous account manager who treats us Chatime after the game, is my first cup of Chatime by the way!

Having a few minutes cam whoring around the hotel Lobby without the cuffed. ^_* We were entitled for an hour break for shower and rest after three challenges. Freedom!!!

Dinner time @ Prego, the Italian Restaurant at The Westin KL.

Caesar Salad + super spicy Spaghetti. The super spicy dish will later become a challenge theme as well. T.T

Gym time after the dinner. We were warned not to laugh / smile once we entered the Gym @ Westin. Once the Marshall caught us did so, we shall be punished with a 10 push ups each for a couples.

What happened next? We were the first and only team "rewarded" with 10 push ups! Ashton couldn't stop laughing the moment Ryan turned and showed his new outfit! Both of us have to complete the push ups with  being cuffed together.

The Lat Pull: We required to pull and sustain at 55kg. OMG, is was so tough! I felt like tearing all my muscle away!
We were released from the cuff for a short break before bed time. Is the time to cuff the Marshals! Ho ho ho... ... From left: Cutie (forgot her name! Sorry), Casey, E V (aka JB) and Shin Bei.

Saturday, 11/2/2012

Being released again around 8am in the morning. All our hand felt slightly clammed after the long night due to less mobility of the hands. Have some nice shower spa, hmmm...felt so refresh! Wondering what's next for us. After the draw, we were so "lucky" to get the shorter cuff. Hence, Ashton and me will stick together closer. ^_*

Is time to breakfast like a KING! Don't you love the buffet breakfast of The Living Room @ The Westin KL? We love it so much! Have a glance at the pastry site and start drooling!!!

Will these being too much for breakfast? Muahahaha... ... I'm the king of breakfast! ^_^

The Living Room @ The Westin KL. The interior design was themed up with a bedroom and wardrobe section.

Started our second day challenge with a slow walk to Berjaya Times Square.
There's one uncle following us from the ground floor to the 5th floor, creepy! = =
Pool challenge: Playing the pool with our free hand. One of us shoot the ball, while another one become the "aim-er". Tough!
Basketball challenge: Playing the basketball machine game with our hand being cuffed. We dragged each other much during this challenge. Grace's hand suffered minor scratched and injury in this game. Is not easy wei... ...
Photo hunt: Looked for any shops in BTS with the the initial name started with "R-O-S-K-E-N". The funniest part was first and second group reached the meeting point at the same time with the judges! We were so fast!  ^_^

Walked back to the hotel and have our lunch break @ The Living Room. Chicken burger + fruit punch, big portion until most of us can't finish.
Put on the wristband while having lunch, my wrist need a break. LOL

Toughest challenge throughout the race is gotta be Rosken Stickers Hunt!

Shopping Challenge: We were given RM 50.00 to shop in 6 different merchants at the LG Floor of Pavillion, one item each from the merchant, and the items (either the brand initial or the description) must be matched "R-O-S-K-E-N". The most accurate's one win! Ivan & Mei Si managed to buy all items at gam-gam RM 50.00!!! Amazing! Applause... ...^_^

Rosken Sample Testing: We were given a specified speech to introduce Pavillion crowds to try the Rosken Cream on their hand. We talked like a recording machine, LOL.

Rosken Stickes Hunt: We required to search around Rosken Stickers inside Fahrenheit 88 (from LG to 2nd Floor). Ashton and me both agreed that this was the toughest challenge of all! With my tiny fat legs, I felt difficult catching up Ashton's walking pace. We were even asking the crowds to move their way on the chairs. Crazy fun challenge! The trickiest place where they hide the stickers: On the escalator handrail!!! Who can even figure out that?!

A whole large pizza for dinner after the long day! The whole table filled with pizzas!
Managed to have a picture with Casey before she hand over her job to Chrisy, yippie!

After the dinner, we have another two challenges.
Making the bed: Is a reward challenge where the winner gets the most precious thing---Free Hand! Grace & Chiam won the challenge, and he has being so nice to suggest to organizer so that we can get his cuff over the night. Thank you so much Chiam! ^_^

Rosken Cream Stacker: Who has the steadiest hand? We were required to stack the 10 Rosken cream at the shortest time (exactly like what we saw during the PC). Non of us beat Dilly's best time of 49 seconds! Good one Dilly! Anyway, with just 4 seconds advance, we bagged RM 500 as rewards! Target achieved!

Steve the creamy man! Rosken cream smoothen Stevie head further! ^0^

Surprise challenge - Stare the eyes: Around 12.30am, all the crews knocked our door and had a surprise challenge! Wee~~~ The challenge simple but challenging. We required to stare at each other as long as we can. And, the best part was, the crews were allowed to make fun with us during the timer! We stared at each other so hard until one of the marshal mentioned: "Eee, how come the eyes become mata juling one?" Hahaha... ...I laughed heartily and yes, epic fail. ^_^

Have a very nice sleep after the long day and thanks to the comfy bed and pillow!

Last day of the challenge. Awww... ...Anticipated waiting for the upcoming challenge as well as the winner announcement.

Assam laksa and roti canai for breakfast, anyone? The most typical Malaysian food yo!

After the brekkie, we were asked to wait in the room for the upcoming challenge. Aiyo, getting nervous as we can heard the crews approaching couples room by room!

Doom of maze: We were given a maze where we need to complete it without touching the side (do not triggered the alarm). Both of us were so nervous, keep breathing harder!

Second last challenge! Ashton challenged his spicy sense! We required to eat the Cili Api as well. T.T

Feed me Feed me: We were required to feed each other, one at a time, with the cuffed hands with only given one fork.

Memory of doom: The challenge was held at Q Bar lounge and pub, The Westin KL. We waited so anxiously withe the chilling hands. Again, being so "lucky", we get the FIRST draw. We were the first couple to play the first challenge. Scary wei! We were required to flip through the cards arrange on a square table and matching two pairs of Rosken Jokers.

After all five couples completed the challenge, we anxiously and nervously waited for the winners announcement. Deep in our heart, we were thinking we have no hope on the top prizes at all. However, we were very happy as we already won one of the reward challenge.

But but but but but... ...we were really flattered last minute! We won the grand prize of RM10000.00 cash prize and RM150 Rosken product! OMG! Is really out of our prediction! Ivan & Mei Si had won 2nd prize of RM 2000.00 cash prize and RM150 Rosken product as well.

The winner announcement video:

After the winner announcement, we had a surprise birthday celebration for Dilly! The crews had prepared a very yummylicious chocolate ice cream cake specially for her. Aww...that's so sweet! ^_^

Nick sending Dilly her birthday cake! Dilly's drop her tears of happiness and joy!

Please check out all the photos here:

The curtain falls finally. I would like to have my "acceptance speech" here:

Thank you Rosken for sponsoring the cuffed couples event.
Thank you Mix FM for organizing the whole cuffed couples event.
Thank you The Westin KL for sponsoring our accommodation and meal.
Thank you all the Mix FM radio announcers, JD & Dilly, Charlene, Steve and Ryan! Having so much fun with all of you!
Thank you all the crews: Hafiz, Hui Yee, Syahril, Eric, Allan, Lyn, Casey, Chrisy, Shin Bei, E-V, Cutie, Nick, Castelle and all the other crews and members which I do not recognized your names (sorry for that...).
Not forgetting that the other couples: Jamie & Adrian, Ivan & Mei Si, Grace & Chiam, Nasheeta & Hariz. Thank you all for everything. Feeling great joined the events with all of you!
Thank you all my families and friends that gave moral support throughout the game.
The cuffed couples challenge meant so much to us without mentioned the prizes itself. It worth our life time memory. Both Ashton and me learnt to be more synchronize to each other.
Be passionate to the games and we are on the winning side.

Italian Dining - Spasso Milano

Ashton always love Italian food. Pizza and spaghetti are among his favourite. Thus, we decided went for Italian dining at Spasso Milano after I got my voucher.

Located at Jalan Ampang, somewhere near the Gleneagles Hospital, Spasso Milano shared a same building with Paparich Cafe and Nihonkan Club and Lounge.

Paparich Cafe at the downstairs overlooking the swimming pool. Another nice location to chill out with friends!

Flipping through the menu....hmm...what to eat?

The interior of Spasso Milano during the night. The ambience is so JAZZ mood... ...

Every dine in guest will be served with complimentary Pizza Bread upon ordering.
Lemme top up with some olive oil... hmmm...nice tough!

Pizza bread is just a thin crust of pizza's bread without any toppings nor sauce. But the chef did presented it well with the crunchiness!

Brother and his gal, mom and me ^_^

Let's sneak peak the kitchen! If you aware of the semi round thing at the back, is the place where all the wood-fired pizzas produced!

cam-whoring while waiting for the foods... ...

CALZONE folded pizza with artichokes, mushrooms and chicken ham. Very nice!
Price: RM 32.00++.

The mushroom and ham toppings. Yummylicious!

Ashton is playing with the thick cheese!

I love the smoothie! So smooth and thick in taste!

CANNELONI AL FRUTTI DI MARE GRATINATI, seafood crepe gratinated in Lobster cream sauce.
Price: RM 28.00++.
Friendly reminder : If you do not like Lobster, do not order this dish as the taste of Lobster is so thick until we can't handle it! ^_*

RAGU' DI POLLO, chicken bolognese & herbs spaghetti.
Price: RM 23.80++.

PICCATA DI POLLO, Chicken piccata with lemon & caper sauce. Tender soft chicken tastifully with the sauce!
Price: RM 28.00++

SALTIMBOCA ALLA VALDOSTANA, Chicken escalope filled with sage, rosemary & taleggio. This is the nicest dish of the night!
Price: RM 36.00++.

Have a photo with the Chef before I left. But ooops...I have forgotten his name. XD

We actually returned to the restaurant for second time just after a couples of weeks.

Ashton very happy that he can have the famous lamb rack as dinner!

Ashton also ordered smoothies as he found out from the previous visit that the smoothies tasted awesomely nice! Fine crushed ice blended with fruit tasted nicer than wine! ^_^

Overlooking the busy kitchen.

Ashton's lamb rack

Ashton recommendation: Half cooked lamb rack.
Ashton's gave two thumbs up for this! Tender soft lamb, and the texture of the lamb was insanely awesome! Must try! Price: RM69.90++ (if not mistaken)

I cant recall the name of the dish. I just can remember the taste! ^_*
Nicely grilled fish fillet, but plain taste abit. Why? Because it has to paired with the outer skin! Not really sure what's the outer skin made of, but is very crunchy and chunky! Fell in love with the dish with the first bite!
Price: Cannot recall. About RM 30.00 - 40.00++.

End the night with two spoonful of Chocolate Lava dessert
(When I mean two spoonful, you understand what's the portion size. ^_*)
The dessert was so thick in chocolate. But match with the ice cream, it neutralize the too sweetness!
Price: About RM16.90++

Both visit were been made during 2011. However, they've moved to Pavillion KL. I will definitely visit the Pavillion KL branch soon for the other menu!
