Mommy of #PrincessSYY: A tastily night with Prince Hotel & Residence Balik Kampung Buffet

Over the last two weeks, Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur had organized this Facebook contest. By telling them the most memorable balik kampung story with a family photo, we might just walked away with the complimentary Balik Kampung buffet dinner for 4 person!

I'm super lucky to be one of the shortlisted winners! Yay, is time to killing my stomach again!

Not going with my parents as planned, as they involved in some more serious business, sadly. So, I grab my friend, Lisa and her sister along. Having a fun drive before reaching Level 5 parking, woooah, the drive way is like a roller coaster!
Since adrenalin pumped up, my stomach start signal me : "Hungry! Hungry!" ^^

Let's start the tastily night!

Have a short walk at the lobby, and we found this giant Dragon!

This is a giant porcelain craft art work symbolic to "Journey of Success", which involves 20 professional porcelain artists and 3 years time to complete this master piece. Marvelous craftsmanship!

Arrived at around 7pm, we were warmly greeted by the waiters at the entrance, then lead to our table without hesitation. A friendly reminder to whoever wishes to try the Balik Kampung Buffet, please make reservation to guarantee a place for you as they are almost FULL!

We saw lots of tables already filled up, mainly our Malay friends. As everyone waiting for buka puasa, we decided to just walk around checking out the food in the restaurant in respect to our Malay friends.

The syrup water is served on every table. Nice!

The settings of the table is contemporary Malay style, warm yet artistic. Lovely!

Let the fun begin! Yay, we just heard the sound of "Gong" which represent the buka time.

Hot Pot section, where you can find all sorts of hot melting food, did i mentioned there's a whole grill lamb? ^_* (wink wink)

Eccucino has very traditional interiors setting for this Balik Kampung buffet. Lovely!

Besides the cold and hot section, there are plenty of stalls which you can find teppanyaki, 5 types of laksa in Malaysia, fried & wet Popiah, ABC, Rendang & Ketupat, Nasi Kandar, Soup tulang and grilled lamb.

Rasa Sayang eh , rasa sayang sayang eh!

Let's fly to the FOOD!

Always start with some drinks before a meal!

Chilled soya drink, fruit punch, sugar cane and star fruit juice, oh, i love the fruit punch ~

Go Truly Malaysian for my first plate.

Mee mamak, kailan vegetable with salted fish, kung po style chicken, fish kurma (mahi mahi), kam heong style mussels and some crackers, great start!

Not forgetting to have some Ramadan "must have" Bubur Lambuk! So many condiments to paired with the Chicken or Lamb Bubur Lambuk, awesome!

Tomatoes rice with some sambal ikan bilis, hot clay pot chilies chicken, mixed vegetables, gado gado, and the most interesting , 3 types of kerabu i tried : Cockles, mussels and prawns!

I like the kerabu mussels as it is freshly prepared with some light cooked su-hun (silver noodles).

Traditionally cooked asam laksa. Slurp~~

Satay oh satay, how could i not eating you?! The chicken meat grilled to just nice, not too hard, not too soft, topped with the peanut sauce, awesome!

My stomach is loading and loading......How could i stop without trying the rendang?

Best paired : Lemang + Rendang + Serunding ayam* + Serunding udang*

(*Serunding is something like floss)

Not letting the kandar style chilies deep fried crab to escape from my plate too!

After stuffed in 5 different types of sushi maki, smoked salmon, baby lobster, some squid, oops......

i can feel the calories being stuffed in too!

No, not yet, I ain't stopping here!

Tried the smoked prawn with some Tabasco sauce, marvelous! So fresh!

Some people brought the prawns to the Teppanyaki stall to cook it, hmm......i still prefer smoked style because that's the best way to taste the freshness of the prawns!

Some mexico bread / biscuits anyone? The bread itself taste so nice, topped with the sour dressing, oh~

is killing me!

Looked nice? Well, they taste so well too!

Unfortunately, i cant find the Apple Crumble as introduce by my friend - Imman, he told me that is a very nice dessert at Eccucino!

After I checked with one of the staff, found out that today is not "Apple Crumble" day as they changed their menu daily!

But that is a good news for foodies, because you can different menu everyday!

Closed my esophagus with a bowl of top graded ABC!

Biji selasih, kembang semangkuk, cincau, longan, buah kabung, jagung...all the condiments you can't find in one single ABC stall!

I believe i drank 20% and eat 80% on the ABC, making me feel 100 + 1 % FULL!

Conclusion on my dining experience at Eccucino Prince Hotel, two words : Scrumptious & appetizing!

The varieties are distinctively wide range, the taste of the food are truly Malaysian, the freshness of the materials is inevitably fresh, the staffs are sincere & friendly and the environment is so cozy yet classy!
